We present a case report of urethral reconstruction with a pedicled anterolateral thigh flap prelaminated with bladder mucosa in sex reassignment. The successful outcome may make this technique worthy to be considered in the secondary reconstruction of urethra in difficult cases. Here we report a case of primary carcinoma of the female urethra. A 52-year-old woman presented with a palpable urethral mass associated with intermittent pain that she first experienced a few months prior. Clinical examination showed a urethral mass that appeared to be a caruncle; therefore, simple carunclectomy was performed. However, on histological examination, the mass was revealed to be a squamous cell carcinoma; therefore, anterior urethrectomy was performed. During a 4-year follow-up period, the patient has been well with no dysuria, dyspareunia, or incontinence.

A 3-year-old boy presented with an asymptomatic intertesticular mass increasing in size. Plasma tumor markers (α-fetoprotein and β-human chorionic gonadotrophin) were negative. Persistent cloaca is a rare urogenital anomaly that can pose significant challenges for adequate diagnosis and management. We describe the case of an infant girl with a cloacal malformation, having a single perineal orifice and an accessory phallic urethra, who presented with ambiguous genitalia at birth. The distal part of the accessory phallic urethra was used to create a mucosa-lined vestibule as a part of the total urogenital sinus mobilization. This technical maneuver allowed a more natural looking, and possibly functioning, vaginal introitus, improving the final cosmetic result.

CONTEXT: Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the urethra is an extremely rare tumour. Its histogenetic derivation remains controversial.
CASE REPORT: We report a new case of clear cell adenocarcinoma of the proximal urethra in a 56-year-old woman who presented with grossly hematuria. Urethral cystoscopy revealed a tumour protruding from the posterior urethral wall at the bladder neck. Treatment consisted of urethrocystectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection.
