BACKGROUND: Fluoroscopy during fracture reduction allows a physician to assess fractures and immediately treat a pediatric patient. However, concern regarding the effects of radiation exposure has led us to find ways to keep radiation exposures as low as reasonably achievable. One potentially simple way, which to our knowledge has not been explored, to decrease radiation exposure is through formal education before mini C-arm use.

Little information, however, is known about the types of interventions used by physical therapists in the management of this condition. The objective of this study was to describe the interventions used by physical therapists in the treatment of workers with acute or subacute LBP, with or without radiating pain below the knee.

Intercellular communication was shown to be altered by UVB (297/302 nm) and UVA (365 nm) radiation, the effect depending on the wavelength of exposure and time between irradiation and microinjection of the dye in the dye transfer assay.
