The migration of silicone oil into the suprachoroidal region is a rare complication of vitrectomy. A 70-year-old man was admitted to our ocular oncology unit with a choroidal elevation in the nasal area, as well as signs of pars plana vitrectomy surgery performed about 5 years ago for retinal detachment. The patient underwent ocular ultrasound, visual field test, fluorangiography, and magnetic resonance imaging, which led to the diagnosis of silicone oil migration in the suprachoroidal space. A 17 year-old Caucasian female presented with decreased vision, with no other symptoms reported at that time. Ophthalmological examination revealed typical signs of hypertensive choroidopathy, Elschnig spots, and Siegrist streaks. Further medical examination found high blood pressure (220/155mmHg), with a metastatic hormone-secreting adrenal carcinoma being the underlying cause of these alterations. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of hypertensive choroidopathy associated with adrenal carcinoma.

Chordoid glioma (CG) is a rare central nervous system neoplasm (WHO grade II) of uncertain origin whose typical localization is in the anterior part of the third ventricle. Its clinical, radiological, and histological features may vary and furthermore mimic other kind of benign lesions usually associated with a better outcome. PURPOSE: To report two cases in which malignancy masqueraded as scleritis, delaying the diagnosis.
METHODS: Two patients initially diagnosed and treated for unilateral scleritis were referred for management of persistent inflammation. Additional evaluation uncovered underlying malignant processes.

Primary intracranial rhabdomyosarcoma is extremely rare. Here, a case that is most consistent with a botryoid rhabdomyosarcoma is described in a 4.5-year-old boy. The case is unique because it was preceded by a congenital Dandy-Walker malformation, choroid plexus hyperplasia and an enormous oversecretion of cerebrospinal fluid during infancy.

Ophthalmic plaque radiotherapy has been demonstrated to be a useful alternative to enucleation in the treatment of small choroidal melanomas. The prognosis for tumours larger than 8 mm in height, however, continues to be poor. Treatment complications limit the radiation dose which may be delivered to these larger tumours. Surgical techniques of iridocyclectomy, iridochoroidectomy, eye wall resection, eye wall biopsy, and ab interno retinochoridectomy are described. Surgical approaches to uveal neoplasms offer a new alternative for management of these disorders. Uveal and retinal biopsy expand our knowledge of pathological processes involved in tapetoretinal degeneration and uveitides. Additionally, both eye wall biopsy and resection provide tissue to confirm tumor diagnosis and malignancy.

An 11-year-old girl was admitted with a 3-year history of decreasing hearing, and headache, occasional vomiting and poor school performance of 8 months duration. Neurologically she showed signs of a cerebellopontine angle mass. This was confirmed by CT scan, which showed an enhancing lesion in the right cerebellopontine angle. The lesion was totally removed, with excellent results. Histologically the tumor appeared to be a choroid plexus papilloma. Choroid plexus papillomas of the cerebellopontine angle are extremely rare in children.

We studied the relation between echographic tumor elevation (measured by standardized A-scan echography) and histologic tumor thickness (measured from histologic slides with an ocular micrometer) in a series of 53 choroidal and ciliary body melanomas enucleated within one month of the most recent echographic measurement.
