OBJECTIVES: Infants with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)-like symptoms have been classically defined as having a wide array of symptoms. In these instances, anti-reflux medications are ineffective and overprescribed. Rather these symptoms are more attributable to dysphagia and unsettledness/colic. To address these conditions at our center, both speech language pathologist (SLP) and/or occupational therapist (OT) have contributed to evaluation. We hypothesized that dysphagia and unsettledness/colic are highly prevalent, yet under recognized in this population.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the right colic vascularity, focusing on the confluences of veins.
METHODS: The subjects of this retrospective study were 100 patients who underwent laparoscopic extended right hemicolectomy (Lap-ERHC) between April 2015 and September 2020, at our hospitals. We describe a case of an uncommon early pancreatic cancer presentation in a patient in his 60s who had haemorrhagic shock from extensive haematochezia and required blood transfusions as well as surveillance in an intensive care unit. Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in mesenteric vessels are exceptionally rare. OBJECTIVES: To identify the contributions of Sir William Osler, who is regarded as the pre-eminent physician of his time, to urology, both objective and subjective.
METHODS: A search of Osler's bibliography of over sixteen hundred publications, as well as his observations, some hitherto unpublished, on the episodes of renal colic that he personally experienced, was conducted. In this paper we describe a case in which acute renal colic was associated with elimination of multiple hyphal masses of Aspergillus flavus. A review of displacements and surgery of the large colon is given on the basis of two cases. A four-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare was referred, one week before foaling, for colic of twelve hours duration. At rectal palpation a large uterus was found, but no cause for the colic. Ureteral colic is not generally included in the differential diagnoses of acute scrotal pain, although ureteral pathology is a recognized cause of pain referred to the scrotum.
