Pathologic fractures from a reduction in bone mass and strength are a debilitating complication affecting the quality of life of individuals with metastatic lesions. OBJECTIVE: Our purpose was to describe four female patients with osteosarcoma whose clinical and imaging findings primarily suggested either simple or aneurysmal bone cyst. All lesions were osteolytic, intracompartmental, and expanded bone without periosteal reaction. None of the patients presented during the peak age incidence for osteosarcoma. From imaging to histologic diagnosis, the discovery of osteosarcoma ranged from 1 week to 3 years.

Ninety-three cases of primary malignant bone tumors of the limbs were treated for 651 times with preoperative and postoperative HD-MTX-CFR regimen. A number of toxic side reactions appeared, most of which were those of the digestive tract. OBJECTIVE: To clarify the clinical significance of incidentally found diffusion-weighted MRI (DW-MRI)-positive findings on pre-biopsy MRI in patients with suspected prostate cancer.

We present our experience with reconstruction after resection of tumors around the knee, using free vascularized fibular grafting. The study included 23 patients. The lower femur was involved in 17 cases, the upper tibia in 6. AIM: The Persistent Sciatic Artery (PSA) is a rare congenital anomaly due to missed involution of embryo-fetal sciatic artery, which is the main blood supply to lower limb during embryonic development until superficial femoral artery (SFA) is formed. The PSA is frequently related to complications in adults like aneurysm and embolism. Here we present a case in which the discovery of a complete PSA resulted limb saving. In case of oncologic or trauma surgery, when no other options are available, the PSA can help in management of reconstructive surgery.
