OBJECTIVE: To apply the lesion method to assess neuroanatomical substrates for judgments of forearm orientation from proprioceptive cues in humans.
METHODS: Participants were 15 subjects with chronic unilateral brain lesions and stable behavioural deficits, and 14 neurologically normal controls. AIM: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical utility of Doppler ultrasound (US) prior to native forearm arteriovenous fistula (AVF) creation.

Entrapment syndrome below or just above the elbow is uncommon. These rare causes of neurologic or vascular entrapment are linked to anomalous anatomical structures. No case of entrapment syndrome has been reported in patients with angioaccess for hemodialysis. We report, for the first time, forearm arteries entrapment in two patients presenting with recurrent angioaccess for hemodialysis thrombosis. Anatomical, radiologic, and surgical features of these uncommon syndromes are discussed.

In this paper, a new flap for the coverage of soft tissue defects in the hand is described. To obtain a distally pedicled dorsoulnar flap, the dissection of the standard dorsoulnar flap is continued distally under the descending branch of the dorsal branch of the ulnar artery onto the dorsum of the wrist after the dorsal branch of the ulnar artery is ligated and divided. Our modification of the standard dorsoulnar flap converts this flap to a distally based flap, which provides a potentially longer pedicle and increases the arc of rotation of the flap. Two successful cases are reported.

BACKGROUND: Forearm malunion resulting from traumatic injuries can lead to reduced pronosupination and instability of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ). While children benefit from natural bone remodeling, surgical intervention is more frequently required in adults. When surgical treatment is necessary, corrective osteotomies aim to restore functionality and alleviate pain. However, in cases of complex multiplanar deformities, surgical planning can be technically challenging.
