A case of antral membrane in a 23 month old child is presented. He developed an extremely rapid clinical course characterized by vomiting, 4 kg weight loss and acute malnutrition. The UGI showed a probable antropyloric obstruction which was confirmed by endoscopy and lately by surgery. It is suggested that in the approach of a patient with vomit it is very important to make an oriented clinical history and always complete the study of the patients with radiological and endoscopic procedures.

This study attempts to compare the endoscopic features of duodenitis with the histological characteristics. During a 12 month period, 98 patients undergoing fibreoptic oesophago-gastro-duodenoscopy had the endoscopic appearances of the duodenum classified on a three point scale of increasing severity of duodenitis. We are reporting on a simple method for performing gastro-duodenoscopy and biopsy of the small intestine on one course of examination. The biopsy probe for the small intestine carries a looped thread located behind the biopsy cartridge. This loop is grabbed by the biopsy forceps of the gastroduodenoscope. A 75-year-old man with a history of prostate cancer (T1N0M0, Gleason score 4 + 3) was referred to radionuclide bone scan and Ga-PSMA PET/CT to detect recurrence. Migration of metal clips into the duodenum after laparoscopic cholecystectomy is rare. We herein present two cases of migration of metal clips into the duodenum in patients who developed upper quadrant discomfort and a poor appetite after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Heyde syndrome is a triad of aortic stenosis, acquired coagulopathy, and anemia due to bleeding from intestinal angiodysplasia. Here we describe a case of this syndrome. An 80-year-old woman with severe aortic stenosis was referred to our department for an aortic valve replacement. For a 12 year period (1991-2002) 152 children aged from 2 to 17 years with severe caustic ingestion were treated at the University Department of Pediatric Surgery. 21 of them received severe combined lesions of the esophagus and the stomach. There were four groups of patients: duodenal ulcer patients (32), duodeno-gastric reflux patients (31), patients with duodenal ulcer and reflux (33) and 12 healthy men. All of them aged 20-40.
