PURPOSE: To evaluate morphological features of filtering blebs after trabeculectomy with limbus-based versus fornix-based conjunctival flaps (LBCF and FBCF, respectively) using in vivo confocal microscopy (IVCM) and ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM).
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Seventy-five eyes of 62 patients with glaucoma were recruited. Thirty-eight eyes of 31 patients received trabeculectomy with LBCF and 37 eyes of 34 patients received trabeculectomy with FBCF. Successful bleb was defined as postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) ≤15 mm Hg and IOP reduction ≥20% without antiglaucoma medication.

We report the first case of ocular benign lymphoid hyperplasia (BLH) treated with subconjunctival injection of bevacizumab (Avastin). A 27-year-old man presented to our clinic with conjunctival masses and limbal neovascularization. An incisional biopsy yielded the diagnosis of BLH. The aim of the present study was evaluation of the efficiency of limbal autograft transplantation for primary and recurrent pterygia. The results of limbal autograft transplantation for advanced and recurrent pterygia are presented for 58 eyes of 50 patients. The pterygia were primary in 40 eyes and recurrent in 18 eyes.
