STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: When surgical treatment is not considered an option, prosthetic management of velopharyngeal insufficiency is carried out by means of a speech-aid prosthesis, whereas velopharyngeal incompetence is traditionally managed by a palatal lift prosthesis. Varying degrees of treatment success have been attributed to palatal lift prostheses.

Concrete formwork construction was identified as the area of greatest ergonomic risk in unionized carpentry by both managers and unionized carpenters. Ergonomic risks were identified and characterized using (a) 1220 randomized work samples from videotape, (b) 82 worker discomfort surveys, (c) on-site observation, and (d) labor-management focus group discussions. Investigated the behaviors of pediatric rheumatology health care providers that were expected to be related to patient or parent adherence. Medical charts of 108 patients ages 1 to 20 years diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis were examined. We report our experience of preoperative plate contouring for periarticular fractures using three-dimensional printing (3DP) technology and describe its benefits. We enrolled 34 patients, including 11 with humerus midshaft fractures, 12 with tibia plateau fractures, 2 with pilon fractures, and 9 with acetabulum fractures.
