OBJECTIVES: To describe the sociodemographic characteristics of mothers of Haitian origin and the obstetric and neonatal outcomes of their newborns born in French Guiana between 2013 and 2021 in order to identify specific vulnerabilities within this population.

The impact of chikungunya virus (CHIKV) infection on diabetic patients (DPs) has not been described. We aimed to compare clinical features of CHIKV infection in DPs and nondiabetic patients (NDPs), and to evaluate its effects on glycemic control among DPs. We recorded clinical information and, in DPs, glycemic control. Forty-six DPs and 53 NDPs aged ≥ 20 years living in Haiti, with acute CHIKV infection, were studied. Worldwide, women report the need for safe, non-hormonal, woman-initiated methods of family planning. Cervical barriers provide such technology but are under-researched and under-promoted. Organisms, including Vibrio cholerae, can be transferred between harbors in the ballast water of ships. Zones in the Caribbean region where distance from shore and water depth meet International Maritime Organization guidelines for ballast water exchange are extremely limited. UNLABELLED: The more frequent psychopathological alteration after religious experiences are the dissociative disorders and trance. It's not frequent to see this clinic in private practice or hospitals in Buenos Aires. To do this revision we went to religious sites where the trance and possession status are frequent, in order to observe their clinic and the methods to induce them. We made a bibliographic revision about trance.
CONCLUSION: In Buenos Aires city the dissociative disorders and the trance are less diagnosed than in other sites. The trances that we saw were totally induced.

OBJECTIVE: Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) is an arthritogenic mosquito-transmitted alphavirus that spread to the Caribbean in 2013 and to the US in 2014. CHIKV-infected patients develop inflammatory arthritis that can persist for months or years, but little is known about the rheumatologic and immunologic features of CHIKV-related arthritis in humans, particularly as compared to rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
