Primary pancreatic hydatid cysts are rare and its percutaneous treatment and catheterization technique has, to the best of our knowledge, not been published in literature. A 33-year-old male patient who presented with abdominal pain was evaluated by ultrasonography (US) and computed tomography examinations. Both examinations revealed a cyst in the neck of the pancreas. After the administration of albendazole chemoprophylaxis, the patient underwent diagnostic puncture showing high pressure spring water which harbored the scoleces and was treated percutaneously by the catheterization technique.

The main objective is to assess whether nebulization before gastric lavage (GL) improves its sensitivity for the diagnosis of childhood tuberculosis (TB). Aspiration of hydatid cysts and instillation of scolicidal fluid as part of the surgical treatment should be done very carefully to prevent any spillage that might cause anaphylaxis and dissemination of the disease. We describe herein a laparoscopic technique for safe aspiration of hydatid cysts of liver by using an assembled large, transparent trocar sleeve with a beveled tip. The method described allows laparoscopic access even to hydatid cysts that are located under the diaphragm.

This article report a study of 23 cases of hypercalcemia crisis resulting from primary hyperparathyroidism (18 cases), carcinoma (4 cases) and vitamin D intoxication (1 case). In addition to the symptoms of primary diseases, the patients with hypercalcemia crisis often had anorexia, nausea, vomiting, polydipsia, polyuria, psychoneurotic symptoms, arrhthmia. The severity of the symptoms was proportional to the degree of hypercalcimia. This report deals with 38 patients suffering from hydatid disease of the liver. The most frequently performed operative procedures were hepatic resection (n = 16), filling the cavity with normal saline solution (n = 16), filling the cavity with normal saline solution (n = 8), and total cystectomy (n = 6). Mice were given an intravenous injection of isotonic saline containing horseradish peroxidase (HRP) as an ultrastructural marker in an attempt to determine the site of fluid leakage from the vascular space to the air space in the lung.
