We report a patient with Bazex (Bazex-Dupre-Christol) syndrome in association with multifocal basal cell carcinoma, epidermoid carcinoma of the lung, adenocarcinoma of the prostate, and possibly undifferentiated carcinoma of the bladder. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a patient with Bazex syndrome that consisted of four tumors, including two genitourinary tumors.

BACKGROUND: Sialadenoma papilliferum (SP) is an extremely rare benign neoplasm of salivary glands. To explore and define the clinicopathological features of SP, we retrospectively analyzed 89 cases previously reported and five new cases.

Keratinocyte cancer (KC) cases have risen by 172% in Denmark over the last decade and the lifetime risk of developing KC is at least 22%. This highlights the need for innovative strategies in KC prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. To reduce incidence, new prevention methods are crucial. The management of periocular basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is challenging due to its proximity to the eyeball. Vismodegib, a Hedgehog pathway inhibitor, has emerged as a therapeutic option for locally advanced and metastatic BCC. To critically appraise the relevant evidence, we conducted a systematic review of observational and experimental studies assessing the efficacy and safety of vismodegib for periocular BCC.
