The present study deals with the retinal vascular involvement in 64 patients with toxoplasmic retinochoroiditis during the acute phase of the disease and its evolution. Vascular involvement was noted in all 64 eyes during the acute phase of the disease. In 59 (92%) out of 64 cases the vascular involvement was located in the same retinal quadrant as the active toxoplasmic lesion. In the remaining 5 eyes (8%) the vascular participation was found in all four retinal quadrants. DESIGN: Retrospective consecutive case series.
SUBJECTS: Pediatric patients with a diagnosis of XLRS who had undergone widefield fluorescein angiography (FA).
METHODS: The electronic medical records of pediatric patients with XLRS at a tertiary referral eye center were reviewed from January 2015 to December 2021. Fluorescein angiography images were reviewed for anomalies of the retinal vasculature.

We report a case of retinal hemorrhages in a baby with retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) following examination with indirect ophthalmoscopy and scleral depression. There have been rare reports of examination-induced retinal hemorrhages during ROP screening, although those hemorrhages were diffusely scattered in the posterior pole. In this report the hemorrhages were found on the surface of the neovascular ridge. Changes in intraocular pressure caused by scleral depression may result in rupture of the fragile and immature retinal vessels, which have poor autoregulation in these premature babies.…
