The operative description of a modified posterior exenteration along with operative findings, other operative procedures, postoperative course, and follow-up information are presented for 47 patients (37 primary cytoreduction, ten secondary cytoreduction). All had stage IIIC or IV epithelial ovarian cancer with pelvic disease encasing the reproductive organs, pelvic peritoneum, cul-de-sac, and sigmoid colon.
