Cleft lip and palate is one of the most common congenital abnormalities affecting the craniofacial region. A patient with unstable angina was treated with elective Palmaz-Schatz stent implantation on a focal stenosis of the left circumflex artery. Percutaneous transcatheter embolization of the testicular vein was performed on 28 patients with angiographically proven varicocele testis. In 2 patients bilateral and in 26 only the left vein was embolized using 3-, 5-, or 8-mm stainless steel coils. All patients had clinically palpable varicoceles and male infertility. A 22-year-old man, a boxer, presented with acute right forearm pain after striking a punch mitt. The patient had sustained a diaphyseal fracture of the right radius 19 months previously and was treated by minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis using a titanium reconstruction plate. A comparative study was carried out in 350 women using VCu200 intrauterine devices (IUD) and 350 women using stainless steel ring (SSR) IUD for 5-18 years. The endometrial changes and shapes of IUD were studied. The results showed that the pregnancy rate was significantly lower in VCu200 group after 5 years of insertion. Prolonged central venous access for outpatient chemotherapy was achieved in 74 patients utilizing a totally implantable access disc system.
