Small cell carcinoma (SCC) of vagina is extremely rare. The association between this tumor and high-risk HPV infection is unclear. To our knowledge, HPV status has been reported in only 3 previous cases of SCC of vagina. Herein, we present a unique case of vaginal small cell carcinoma with discordant HPV testing results between vaginal and cervical samples. We also review and discuss findings from previously reported cases of small cell carcinoma of vagina.

A rare case of parasitic myoma mimicking an adnexal mass in a previously hysterectomized, postmenopausal woman is presented. Two years after vaginal hysterectomy (due to myomas), an asymptomatic right adnexal tumor was noted during regular annual follow up. Ultrasound demonstrated a large 4-5 cm solid mass in the right adnexa, while ovarian cancer biomarkers (CA 125 and HE4) were negative. Radical surgery is considered not to improve the prognosis of primary malignant melanoma of the vagina (PMMV). This study was carried out to review the general consensus. Leiomyomas of the vagina are very rare tumors of the female genital tract with only 300 cases reported so far. A case of removal of the vaginal leiomyoma presenting as tumor previa in advanced pregnancy is described. Removal of the tumor allowed vaginal birth three weeks after surgery.
