The in vitro plasma protein binding of phenytoin (diphenylhydantoin), salicylic acid, propranolol, pethidine (meperidine) and chlorpromazine was measured using an air-driven, bench-top ultracentrifuge and the results were compared with those obtained by equilibrium dialysis.
