We compared mature dolphins with 4 other groupings of mature cetaceans. With a large data set, we found great brain diversity among 5 different taxonomic groupings. The dolphins in our data set ranged in body mass from about 40 to 6,750 kg and in brain mass from 0.4 to 9.3 kg. Dolphin body length ranged from 1.3 to 7.6 m. In our combined data set from the 4 other groups of cetaceans, body mass ranged from about 20 to 120,000 kg and brain mass from about 0.2 to 9.2 kg, while body length varied from 1.21 to 26.8 m. Nephrotic syndrome and encephalopathy are uncommon complications that occurred in typhoid fever. The diagnosis is based on proteinuria finding with nephrotic range value, edema, and hypoalbuminemia. In this study, a 10-year-old boy was diagnosed with encephalopathy typhoid and nephrotic syndrome. The physical examination and urinalysis were conducted with methylprednisolone 60 mg/body surface area and captopril to reduce proteinuria.

We describe a patient who underwent assisted reproduction techniques and was diagnosed with heterotopic cervical pregnancy, and then discuss the management of this entity, which is rare and has no standard protocols. Treatment consisted of intra-arterial methotrexate (50 mg/m(2) body surface area) and simultaneous selective embolization of uterine arteries. This study assessed long-term psychosocial sequelae of young adult pediatric burn survivors. Subjects were 101 young adults (43 females and 58 males) between the ages of 18 and 28 years who were at least 2 years (average, 14 years) postburn at least 30% TBSA (mean = 54 +/- 20%). Development of aortic regurgitation (AR) can complicate an isolated perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD). The objective of this study was to identify echocardiographic features of perimembranous VSDs associated with AR. Lung functions including FVC, FEV1, PEFR, %FEV1/FVC and Empey Index were measured using P.K. Morgan's pocket spirometer on 122 children of both sexes in the age group of five to eleven years. A 9-year retrospective review of 1,242 admissions to a tertiary burn center identified 137 patients who were intubated and ventilated for a critical airway or pulmonary problem. These patients varied in age from 2 months to 18 years with an average total body surface area (TBSA) burn of 55%. Naito suggested criteria for the optimal reconstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract in total correction of tetralogy of Fallot based on the minimum acceptable diameter of the pulmonary artery. The value of these criteria was assessed in 78 operated patients by haemodynamic measurements at surgery and 6 months after operation. Using these criteria, a ratio of right ventricular/left ventricular systolic pressure less than 0.60 was obtained with the creation of pulmonary regurgitation which was usually moderate. Long-term assessment of these results is required.
