We report the case of a two year old boy who developed a large tumour on his face. The lesion resembled a pyogenic granuloma clinically and histologically. Viral studies indicated a parapox infection and a bovine source was supported on epidemiological grounds. The lesion was removed by shave excision and the area healed without significant scarring.

UNLABELLED: Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is a common complication in bone marrow transplant (BMT) patients. It is characterized by systemic and oral cavity alterations. Depending on the timing of lesions, GVHD is classified as acute or chronic. Alterations in the oral cavity are lichenoid reticular lesions, erythema, ulcerations, and xerostomia. CASE REPORT: A 32-year-old man developed a lesion, over a period of 1 year, at the margin of the right upper eyelid. The presumed diagnosis was a pyogenic granuloma. An excision biopsy was performed and the histopathologic diagnosis was a pilomatrixoma.
DISCUSSION: Eyelid pilomatrixoma is commonly misdiagnosed preoperatively and is extremely rare in middle-aged patients.

Pyogenic granuloma (PG), also called a lobular capillary hemangioma, is a benign vascular proliferation of skin or mucous membrane. It classically presents as a solitary friable nodule over the face or distal extremities. Multiple disseminated PG is a rare form generally reported after trauma such as burn injury. We report two cases of spontaneous development of multiple localized PGs in immunocompetent individuals.

A case of angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia of the hand is described. This tumor has also been described as subcutaneous angiolymphoid hyperplasia with eosinophilia and as an atypical pyogenic granuloma. It usually occurs in the head or neck. This highly recurrent tumor has not been previously described in the hand. It was completely excised and had not recurred 4 years after surgery.

Pediatric cases of post-traumatic hemangioma of the palm are rare. Clinical evaluation and imaging are sometimes ambiguous and surgical exploration may show more conclusive results. This case report discusses the diagnosis and treatment of a teenager with post-traumatic hemangioma infiltrating the flexor digitorum profundus tendon of the index finger. Pathologic examination revealed a lobular capillary hemangioma known as pyogenic granuloma.

A 6-year-old girl with a history of bilateral nasolacrimal duct obstruction presented with recurrent tearing, discharge, and bloody tears from the right eye. The patient had a history of multiple prior probing and stenting procedures on the right nasolacrimal system. PURPOSE: Punctal occlusion using punctal plugs is very effective for the treatment of tear-deficient dry eye. We compared the newly marketed Flex Plug (FP, Eagle Vision Co., Ltd.) and the Eagle Plug (EP, Eagle Vision Co., Ltd.).
SUBJECTS AND METHODS: The subjects were patients with severe tear-deficient dry eye who were treated in our dry eye clinic. Peripheral ameloblastoma is a rare, benign odontogenic tumor that histologically resembles an intraosseous ameloblastoma but develops in the soft tissues of the gingiva and mucosa and exhibits an innocuous clinical behavior. We report a case of a recurrent peripheral ameloblastoma in a 61-year-old man that presented as a painless swelling on the maxillary anterior labial attached gingiva. Clinical and histopathologic features of this lesion are discussed. It has been proven that intense argon laser light is very useful in the treatment of port-wine hemangiomas and tattoos. However, lasers can successfully treat many other benign cutaneous lesions. This article reports the first use of the argon laser for granuloma faciale and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
