We present a case of fatal disseminated neosporosis in a 3-month-old Cane Corso puppy. The puppy presented to the Purdue Veterinary Hospital emergency service with a 1-week history of progressive left hindlimb lameness. On presentation, the puppy was nonambulatory paraparetic. Signs progressed over two days to nonambulatory tetraparesis, and decreased to absent limb reflexes, cranial nerve deficits, and dull mentation. BACKGROUND: The efficacy of corticosteroid has not been thoroughly studied in the treatment of non-allergic rhinitis. This study was designed to compare the efficacy of nasal corticosteroid in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR), and non-allergic rhinitis (NAR).
METHODS: The efficacy of triamcinolone acetonide nasal spray (TANS) on total nasal symptom scores (TNSS), and nasal peak inspiratory flow rate (nPIFR) was studied in a six-week parallel-group trial of NAR (n: 25), and AR (n: 16) patients. Health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) were also analysed.

PURPOSE: The semi-circumumbilical incision for treatment of infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, described by Tan and Bianchi (Tan KC, Bianchi A. Circumumbilical incision for pyloromyotomy. Br J Surg 1986;73:399), does not allow a comfortable access to the pylorus in up to 30% of cases, resulting, not infrequently, in unexpected seromuscular lacerations. A passive hemagglutination test devised for diagnosis of trench fever was easily performed and highly sensitive and specific. Tanned sheep erythrocytes were sensitized with soluble antigen from Rochalimaea quintana. Single-agent anti-PD-1 antibodies are ineffective for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) due to the immunosuppressive tumor-microenvironment (TME). KRAS mutations contribute to the inflammatory TME and therapeutic resistance by upregulating IL-8 via MAPK pathways.
