Standard interviews were obtained from 185 women with urinary incontinence over three years to collect information about their individual complaints. All probands then were urometrically examined. The authors use an autocolpotransplantate in the surgery of the genitale prolapse with urinary stress incontinence (vaginale colpohysterectomy, Manchester-Fothergill-Operation anterior and posterior colporrhaphy). The autocolpotransplantate functions as a subvesical belt which is able to avoid recidivs and also favours the formation of new tissue in the urethro-vesico-vaginale area. Electrical pelvic floor stimulation may be administered either externally by the transrectal tampon or internally with the implantable pelvic floor stimulator. This treatment modality requires intact pelvic floor innervation and therefore is unsuccessful in patients with pelvic floor denervation.
