OBJECTIVE: To report a combined genital tract anomaly of septate uterus, unilateral fallopian tube hypoplasia, and ipsilateral ovarian agenesis.
DESIGN: Case report.
SETTING: Academic tertiary care center.
PATIENT: A 24-year-old female.
INTERVENTION(S): History and physical, pelvic sonogram, hysterosalpingogram, intravenous pyelogram, abdominal and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging, diagnostic laparoscopy, exploratory laparotomy, cuff neosalpingostomy, and uterine septum resection.

Synovial sarcoma, a malignant mesenchymal neoplasm, occurs mostly near the joints of the extremities and occasionally outside the joint such as lung. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the role of human papillomavirus (HPV) types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31 or 33 infection in primary fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC).
DESIGN: A retrospective case-control study.
SETTING: Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Helsinki University Hospital, Finland.
POPULATION: Seventy-eight consecutive women with PFTC diagnosed between 1985 and 2000 were studied. For each case, two healthy controls were selected.
METHODS: Serum immunoglobulin G antibodies to HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31 and 33 were measured from women with PFTC and their healthy controls.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the impact of treatment modality and clinicopathologic profile on prognosis in primary fallopian tube carcinoma.

Docetaxel and carboplatin were used as adjuvant chemotherapy or maintenance chemotherapy for cancer of the ovary and fallopian tube. A case of fallopian tube cancer was intraoperatively diagnosed in a patient submitted to laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy because of an ultrasound diagnosis of a probable endometriotic cyst of the right ovary. Postoperatively a complete staging was performed and a synchronous carcinoma of the breast was diagnosed. Consequently the patient completed laparotomic debulking and a left mastectomy. A case of a premenopausal woman with fallopian tube cancer and synchronous breast cancer is reported together with a review of the most recent literature.

Human tubal epithelial cells in primary culture were transfected with simian virus 40 (SV40) large T antigen plasmid, and an immortalized ciliated cell line, named as NT/T-S, was established without crisis.
