Analysis of treatment of 822 patients with epithelial coccygeal fistula has demonstrated that purulent complication is indication for primary radical surgery. Number of complications and recurrences decreases if the first focus of inflammation is treated and epithelial fistula is resected after healing of the wound. Anaerobic inflammation is seen in 0.4% patients with purulent epithelial coccygeal fistula. These patients require radical resection of affected tissues and general intensive therapy. This article presents a young girl who came to the Department of Pediatrics, AIIMS, with cyanosis and was diagnosed to be having multiple pulmonary arteriovenous fistulae. The cardiovascular evaluation was normal and so was the respiratory evaluation. The desaturation did not improve with oxygen. The chest X-ray was also normal. The echocardiogram did not reveal any abnormality but agitated saline contrast echocardiography suggested an extracardiac right to left shunt which was confirmed on pulmonary angiography.

Although enteric drainage of the fistula tract is a widely accepted treatment for pancreaticocutaneous fistula, few data have been published on the outcome of this procedure. We conducted a retrospective chart review of 30 patients with pancreaticocutaneous fistula who underwent surgical management at a single institution over a 13-year period. The operative morbidity rate was 30%. Overall the incidence of recurrent ductal leaks requiring further intervention was 23%. OBJECTIVES: To report one outstanding case of fever and flank pain with the radiologic finding of air outlining the whole left upper urinary tract (pneumopyelography).
METHODS: The patient subject of this case had a history of gynaecologic surgery five years before presentation and subsequent diverticulitis one year later requiring discharge colostomy followed by reconstruction 7 months later. Bronchobiliary fistula is an uncommon entity. Recently, we encountered 2 patients with this problem. Both were treated successfully with resection of the involved pulmonary tissue and interposition of viable tissue between the lung and the fistulous tract.
