We report a case of uterovesical fistula that had been diagnosed by cystoscopy, vaginoscopy and ultrasonography. Fistulorrhaphy via the transperitoneal transvesical approach resolved the passage of urine to the vagina. The decision to perform a conservative or more aggressive approach is determined by the site of the fistula.

Infertility is an increasingly common problem. Occlusion of the fallopian tubes is one of the principal causes, and until recently surgery was the only available treatment. The success rate of surgery is often low, particularly with occlusion of the proximal tube. Selective fallopian tube canalization under fluoroscopic guidance has been successful in alleviating proximal tubal obstruction. This procedure may be performed in the outpatient setting and is a safe, cost-effective alternative to surgery.

The possible causes of early pregnancy failure in one thousand, three hundred and seventeen women (n = 1,317) with a history of repeated reproductive wastage were analysed and the results of treatment for each etiology were evaluated. Septate uterus can be responsible for such infertility as requires surgical treatment. This series of this kind of uterine malformation in 37 cases makes it possible to evaluate the efficacy of a new technique for correction of the septum. It has the merit of not requiring laparotomy and above all it avoids carrying out hysterotomy which definitely weakens the uterus. The vagina, uterus and adnexa of 21 women who had a proctocolectomy for ulcerative colitis or Crohn's colitis were examined with vaginography and hysterosalpinography. Six healthy women were used as controls. A characteristic post-operative deformation of the adnexa and the vagina was demonstrated. In 17 of 21 women the fallopian tube anatomy was pathological, in four cases with total obstruction. These abnormalities explain why vaginal discharge, dyspareunia and involuntary sterility are common complaints in women after this type of surgery.

A radiological method of assessment of Caesarean-section wound healing is described. A total of fifty-eight cervico-hysterosalpingograms were performed, ten as controls and forty-eight on patients each of whom had primary or multiple Caesarean sections.
