AIMS: To investigate the occurrence and extent of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Oenococcus oeni interactions.
METHODS AND RESULTS: Interactions between S. cerevisiae and O. oeni were investigated by double-layer and well-plate assays showing the occurrence of specific interactions for each yeast-malolactic bacteria (MLB) coupling. Morphological and biometric studies were performed in Trichuris skrjabini (Baskakov, 1924) collected from the caecum of Capra hircus. The authors used incubated adrenal mitochondria to study the in vitro effect of suramin, an antiparasitic drug, on the transformation of corticosterone and 18-hydroxycorticosterone into aldosterone. Although several studies have investigated synovial sarcoma using established cell lines and mouse models, effective treatments remain limited. We treated five patients with synovial sarcoma at our institute between 2022 and 2023, and resected tumor specimens were cultured using a modified air–liquid interface organoid method. An enzymatic comparison has been made between isolates of Schistosoma mansoni from rats and humans in Guadeloupe and a Burundi isolate of S. rodhaini. The isoenzyme patterns of LDH, MDH, PEP, PGM, MPI, GPI and GAPDH were compared for 3 species of cattle parasites Onchocerca gutturosa, O. gibsoni and O. lienalis from England, Australia and Mexico. The importance of the level of tricarboxylic acid cycle intermediates (malate, citrate and fumarate) for energy transduction during exercise has been investigated in six healthy subjects and in two patients with muscle phosphorylase deficiency (McArdle's disease). 2.
