In this case report a patient with anosmia due to occupational exposure to barbituric acid will be presented. Occupational exposure to high concentrations of barbituric acid resulted in bloody nasal secretion and nasal itching with immediate onset following exposure. After several days of exposure, a progressive loss of smell resulted in anosmia. PURPOSE: To report a case of bilateral corneal neurotrophic ulcer in patient with congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA) and review the literature.
CASE REPORT: A 6 year-old boy presented with bilateral central corneal sterile ulcer, decreased corneal sensitivity, moderately altered corneal reflex and normal tearing response. History taken, systemic evaluation and medical chart review were undertaken.
DISCUSSION: Fifty-two cases of CIPA have been reported worldwide. Fourteen cases had corneal involvement. The clinical picture of our patient is characteristic of CIPA.

Aortic wall injuries may occur after interventional treatment of aortic coarctation (CoA), especially after balloon angioplasty. We reported on a patient who presented with an intra-stent aneurysm formation after direct stenting of a native near atretic aortic CoA by using a BeGraft Aortic stent. This evidence supports the need to maintain a strict follow-up protocol. A computed tomography scan is mandatory, after covered stent implantation as well, especially in high-risk cases and even in the absence of any immediate apparent complication.

Intussusception through a prolapsed end colostomy is amongst the rarest of stoma complications. BACKGROUND: Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome (KTS) is a rare congenital condition characterized by the clinical triad of capillary malformations (port wine stains), varicose veins with or without venous malformations, and bony and/or soft tissue hypertrophy.
CASE PRESENTATION: Here we report the first case of a one-day-old male with KTS presenting with crossed-bilateral limb hypertrophy and post-axial polydactyly.
CONCLUSION: This case serves to highlight the variable presentation and multiple problems faced by patients with KTS and why multidisciplinary management is mandatory.

Despite the increasing use of percutaenous valves, little is known about valve performance after external chest compression. We report a case of a compressed pulmonary Edwards Sapien® XT valve after resuscitation. With the patient on ECMO, successful redilatation was performed with unimpaired postprocedural valve function. We report about a 25-year-old patient with transnasal ketamine abuse over years presenting with severe irritative urinary dysfunction (imperative urinary urgency, pollakisuria, dysuria) and severe alguria. Cystoscopia showed ketamine-induced vesicopathy with errosive cystitis; other etiologies could be excluded. Despite serious effort the patient was not motivated for abstinence from ketamine. After two ineffecient therapies with botulinum toxin A (200 and 400 I. E.) injected into the bladder, a prostate preserving cystectomia and ileum neobladder were mandatory.
