INTRODUCTION: Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare in the oral and maxillofacial regions.
DISCUSSION: AVMs may induce severe complications such as uncontrollable bleeding. Superselective intra-arterial embolization is an effective method for this bleeding that is refractory to conservative treatment. Arterial embolization may cause ischemic complications. We report the case of a patient who developed face skin necrosis following bilateral facial artery embolization.

A rare case of a male patient who suffered from noma with sequelae of ankylosis in bilateral temporomandibular joints for 52 years and a neoplasm in the right commissure of the lips for 1 year, was operated on to resolve the ankylosis, remove the neoplasm and reconstruct the soft tissue defect with a forearm flap through a one-stage operation. The neoplasm pathology was verrucous carcinoma.

We present the case of a 65-year-old male with vasospastic angina (VSA) whose condition worsened during the perioperative period. He had been diagnosed with VSA 10 years prior. This report reviews the experience with naso-ethmoid-orbital fractures at a major medical center. Thirty-three patients were treated between 1 October 1976 and 1 January 1979, who met our definition of naso-ethmoid-orbital fractures. The majority sustained trauma in a motor vehicle accident and 60% of the patients had associated nonfacial injuries. All patients had other facial injuries and fractures; orbital rim or floor, 94%; complex maxillary (LeForte II-III), 72%; and mandible fractures, 25%.
