Self-perceived digital literacy, creative self-efficacy, and self-reported innovative behavior among undergraduate nursing students in Anhui, China: a multi-institutional cross-sectional study.

BACKGROUND: Nursing studies have separately linked self-perceived digital literacy with self-reported innovative behavior and the clinical practice environment with creative self-efficacy and innovative behavior. A related association pattern has been reported among Chinese medical students, but joint evidence from multi-institutional nursing samples remains limited. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the measurement structure and examine the three-variable association pattern among self-perceived general digital literacy, creative self-efficacy, and self-reported innovative behavior in nursing students

Determinants of transitory and permanent nursing home admissions.

This article describes an analysis of data from the 1982-84 National Long-Term Care Demonstration Project to estimate the risks of any nursing home admission, a temporary or transitory admission, and a permanent admission. Using a multinomial logit model, the relative predictive power of several individual characteristics on nursing home use and admission type were evaluated. It was found that the cognitively impaired subgroup was at the greatest risk of entering a nursing home, especially on a permanent basis. The results also demonstrated that the combination of cognitive impairment and func

Optimization of the organization of a hemodialysis center.

Hemodialysis treatment requires patients to visit the hospital multiple times per week, with each session lasting several hours. Planning these treatments is challenging and requires interdependent decisions on nurse staffing, patient scheduling and daily assignment of patients to chairs and nurses. These decisions are complicated by heterogeneous patients acuity levels, diverse chair requirements, spatial constraints, and the need to maintain equitable nurse workloads. In collaboration with the hemodialysis center at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM), a major teaching

Meleis's theory of nursing transitions and relatives' experiences of nursing home entry.

AIM: This paper explores the extent to which Meleis's mid-range theory of nursing transitions is supported by the findings of a study exploring relatives' experiences of the move to a nursing home. BACKGROUND: Mid-range nursing theories are useful tools in helping to understand the scope of nursing practice in a range of contexts and situations. However, as yet, many formal mid-range theories have not been adequately tested. METHODS: Findings from a constructivist study of relatives' experiences of nursing home entry were re-analysed in relation to the extent to which they reflected the doma
