BACKGROUND: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a multisystem disease caused by variants in the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene affecting ion transport. CFTR modulator therapy has become a significant treatment option for many CF patients. However, access to modulator therapy remains a challenge for cases with rare variants.
CASE PRESENTATION: Our 9-year-old female patient, diagnosed with CF by elevated sweat chloride and history of steatorrhea from birth, carried the rare W1282X variant with no clear eligibility for modulator therapy. The family self-financed one month of elexacaftor

A 59-year-old male patient with congenital central cataract was treated for 24 years with atropine, scopolamine, and thyramine hydrochloride eye drops to achieve a permanent mydriasis for optical reasons. He developed a peculiar secondary pigment dispersion syndrome, which is interpreted as a complication of the excessive pupillary excursion on the anterior lens surface following iatrogenic mydriasis. This may be differentiated from the idiopathic and other more common types of secondary pigment dispersion syndrome, mainly by the location of the defects in the pigment epithelium of the iris.

We describe two cases of acquired hyperpigmented macular eruption following pityriasis rosea. This condition is characterized by an eruption of discrete grayish macules on the trunk. On the back, the lesion are oval and their long axis follows the cutaneous liners. Similar features have been described by Runtova. The clinical type of this pigmented eruption is quite comparable to the cases recently described by Degos, Civatte and Belaïch under the title of "idiopathic eruptive macular pigmentation". Sometimes the "idiopathic" character of this pigmented eruption may be lacking, when a retrospe
