Recent research has shown that microplastics are widespread in the atmosphere. However, we know little about their ability to nucleate ice and their impact on ice formation in clouds. BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Watertight dural repair is crucial for both incidental durotomy and closure after intradural surgery.
PURPOSE: The study aimed to describe a perfusion-based cadaveric simulation model with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) reconstitution and to compare spine dural repair techniques.
STUDY DESIGN/SETTING: The study is set in a fresh tissue dissection laboratory.
SAMPLE SIZE: The sample includes eight fresh human cadavers.
OUTCOME MEASURES: A watertight closure was achieved when pressurized saline up to 40 mm Hg did not cause further CSF leakage beyond the suture lines.

Hernia through the suprapubic catheterization (SPC) site is rare. Attention is required for such hernias as they get obstructed due to the narrow neck. We report this rare presentation in an elderly gentleman with obstructed incisional hernia through the SPC site, which was reduced and subsequently had a successful mesh repair.

OBJECTIVES: To prospectively assess the degree of urethral hypermobility in the preoperative and postoperative periods after the tension-free vaginal tape (TVT) procedure and correlate our findings with surgical outcome.
METHODS: Twenty patients with stress incontinence underwent the TVT procedure. A Q-tip test was performed before the procedure and at the 3-week postoperative follow-up visit. Cure was defined as the absence of the subjective complaint of urine leakage and the absence of stress incontinence on stress testing at cystometric capacity.

In this work, a dynamic-electromembrane extraction (d-EME) device was developed for the extraction of neuropeptides. Essential blepharospasm is an idiopathic disorder that consists of spontaneous, spasmodic, and involuntary eyelid closure in the absence of ocular disease. Some patients develop an inability to open their eyelids in the absence of orbicularis spasms. These patients have essential blepharospasm combined with apraxia of eyelid opening. We present a case of a 29-y-old woman with rectocele, cystocele, and uterine prolapse who developed a vaginal infection after the placement of a macroporous polypropylene vaginal mesh.
