The surgical approach to reptiles can be challenging. Reptiles have unique physiologic, anatomic, and pathologic differences. This may result in frustrating surgical experiences. However, recent investigations provided novel, less invasive, surgical techniques. The purpose of this review was to describe the technical aspects behind soft tissue surgical techniques that have been used in reptiles, so as to provide a general guideline for veterinarians working with reptiles.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of CO2 laser vaporation and topical PDT combination on condylomata acuminate (CA) located in the perianal and external genital area. AIM: Extraoral skin fistula after resolution of odontogenic infection often resolves spontaneously, but in some cases, facial dimpling occur which needs revision surgery. This article evaluates the result of needle subcision for treatment of this condition, with or without dermal filler injection.

Digital gangrene is not usually associated with primary Raynaud's phenomenon (RP). Its presence should therefore alert the healthcare provider to look for an alternative explanation. A 19-year-old female patient with primary RP developed digital gangrene following surgical management of acute paronychia. The possible mechanism in this patient appears to be the augmentation of the vasoconstrictive response due to the local infiltration of epinephrine mixed with lignocaine prior to the incision and drainage of her infected finger.

We report a case of identical twins with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, who developed squamous cell carcinoma in the hand at the latter half of their third decade. Seventy-three dermotomy-fasciotomies (DFs) were performed in 68 patients from 1986 to 1991. A database record was compiled on each patient. Variables included age, mode of injury, method of initial wound closure, and associated injuries.
