INTRODUCTION: Many patients with Peyronie's disease (PD) have one or more risk factors (RFs) for atherosclerosis and endothelial dysfunction. It is well recognized that such RFs commonly lead to the development of systemic vascular abnormalities. While not necessarily so, this may implicate vascular dysfunction in its pathogenesis. The cause of PD remains obscure despite intense research over the years and investigating the role of vascular dysfunction in the pathogenesis of PD is a novel approach worth undertaking.

The alpha-blocking agent Moxisylyte was tested in auto-intracavernous injections (auto-ICI) in 72 impotent patients. The side-effects were compared to those observed in a group of 34 impotent patients treated with auto-ICI of Papaverine during the same period of time. We present our experience with the use of an H-shaped incision and a bovine pericardial graft in patients with Peyronie's disease (PD). In this retrospective study, 21 male patients with PD who underwent an H-shaped incision and received a bovine pericardial graft were included and followed for at least 1 year. Despite various Peyronie's disease (PD) treatment options, the literature is sparse regarding patient preference for available therapies. Our data explore resource and treatment choices made by PD men following diagnosis. A survey was mailed to 719 randomly selected PD men evaluated at our institution from 1990-2012. Peyronie's disease is a collagen wound healing disorder of the penis that negatively affects the quality of life of afflicted men. According to the 2015 AUA Consensus Guidelines on Peyronie's Disease, minimally invasive intralesional therapies and surgical intervention form the basis of contemporary therapy for this disorder.
