Juniperus przewalskii Kom. is a dominant tree species endemic to the Tibetan Plateau, primarily found in its Northeastern region. The needles of this species possess notable antiemetic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antitussive properties and have been extensively used in traditional Tibetan medicine. In this study, we analyzed the chemical composition and bioactivity of essential oils (EOs) from seven populations of J. przewalskii and examined the influence of environmental factors. The effects of phenylalanine (PHE) and its deaminated metabolites phenylpyruvate (PHP), phenyllactate (PHL) and phenylacetate (PHA) on sodium and potassium activated adenosinetriphosphatase (Na+,K+-ATPase) in synaptosomes from rat brain were investigated. AIM: One of the preventive interventions for early childhood caries is the use of silver diamine fluoride (SDF), which works uniquely in the prevention of caries. Diphenylene iodonium (DPI), an inhibitor of NAD(P)H oxidase, blocks hypoxic excitation of the carotid body. We used the whole-cell patch-clamp technique to investigate the actions of DPI on ionic currents in isolated type I carotid body cells. The effects of 6 different litter amendments on broiler performance, level of atmospheric ammonia (NH3) concentration, and soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) in litter was determined.
