Materials on morbidity in Omsk hemorrhagic fever at the period of 1988-1992 in the districts of the Novosibirsk region are presented. Cases of the disease were registered mainly in September-October (83.3% of cases). Transmission of the disease by contact played the leading role in the epidemiology of Omsk hemorrhagic fever. The disease took the course of medium severity with faintly pronounced hemorrhagic syndrome.

Shirsal concentrate, mineral water salt from Shira lake, of sulfate chloride magnesium and sodium composition is suggested for therapy of women suffering from chronic inflammations of pelvic organs. Eighty-three women were administered Shirsal solution electrophoresis combined with endovaginal vibration massage or microenemas of 0.5% solution of the same agent. The treatment had an evident anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and resolving effect.

We evaluated parameters of apoptosis in the mucosa of the gastric antrum and body of indigenous and non-indigenous residents of Khakassia with duodenal ulcer disease associated with Helicobacter pylori infection. AIM: Biotyping of Vibrio cholerae eltor isolated during epidemic complications of cholera in Syberia and Far East by phenotypic and genotypic properties complex.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: 45 strains of V. cholerae were studied. Phenotypic analysis was performed by using a complex ofbiovar determining tests. Genotyping was performed by detecting ctxAB, tcpA, toxR, rstRgenes, and ctxB gene structure analysis.

Opisthorchiasis in the hyperendemic focus (Ob-Irtysh river basin) is considered to be a co-member of parasitocenosis: opisthorchiasis + methorchiasis and to have a superinvasive form. The symbiotic flora and O. felines metabolites are an etiopathogenetic flora. Scientific evidence is provided for the recurrent forms ofopisthorchiasis; the authors consider it to be the type of superinvasive opisthorchiasis, in which some portion of parasites in microballs unexposed to antheminthics further mature to maritae.

AIM: To study epidemiology of acute coronary conditions (ACC) including acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and acute coronary failure (ACF) among female population of Tomsk aged over 20 years and trends for 5 years.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: 1919 ACC episodes were compared in the women: 1616(84.2%) cases of AMI and 303(15.8%) cases of ACF. The comparison concerned epidemiological indices: morbidity, hospital and prehospital ACC lethality, the disease history, pathomorphological evidence.

A comparative study of gastric and duodenal bulb mucosa has been performed in 138 patients with ulcer before and after treatment. The patients were treated with either He-Ne laser or copper steam laser alone vs combination of laser therapy with spa treatment. The most favourable was the complex including green spectrum laser in combination with administration of Shira Lake mineral water and electrophoresis of this water.
