The aims of this study were to introduce a method to treat distal radius diaphyseal metaphyseal junction fractures by prebending an elastic intramedullary nail and to evaluate the factors influencing fracture apposition. The role of the titanium functionally dynamic bridging plate (TFDBP) in the fracture treatment of the severely atrophic mandible was assessed retrospectively. In 28 consecutive patients with fractures of a severely atrophic mandible fixation was carried out with TFDBPs. Twenty-one patients with 27 fractures were included in the study and then followed up for complications and the progress of fracture healing for 17 months postoperatively on average. The permanent canine is the most frequently displaced or impacted tooth. The standard treatment for an impacted canine includes surgical exposure and orthodontic alignment. Autotransplantation is a treatment alternative for canines with complete root formation. The purpose of this article is to report a canine autotransplantation where the extraction site was preserved with a titanium prosthesis and a bioresorbable membrane. The autotransplanted canine had minimal root resorption and no ankylosis.

Bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ) is a rare but potentially severe condition, and the etiopathology and risk factors are poorly defined. A female white-naped crane (Grus vipio) was presented with an open, oblique fracture of the distal right tarsometatarsus and concomitant vascular and nerve damage.
