Previous investigations of the Chiari and Salter osteotomies showed that intraoperative vessel and nerve injuries are described repeatedly in the case of both pelvic osteotomies. METHODS: : Twelve cadaveric shoulders underwent arthroscopic Latarjet procedure in our laboratory for arthroscopy, by four different surgeons. The anterior communicating artery (ACoA) located at the orbital surface of gyrus rectus about 50% and medial surface of gyrus rectus about 50%. The superficial brachial artery (SBA), a branch of the axillary artery, is one of the most common arterial variations in this area. While it is more vulnerable to accidental arterial injection or injury, it could be useful for the nourishment of a medial arm skin free flap. PURPOSE: To study the arthroscopic technique of the elbow joint in dog cadavers. The possibility to see the intra articular structures, technical difficulties and complications which occurred during the procedure were analyzed.
METHODS: ten dog's cadavers (twenty elbow joints) were examined. Both, arthroscopic and instrumental portals were performed on the medial site of joint at caudal and cranial positions, respectively.
