In this paper, a Cr coating was prepared by induction heating and pack-cementation chromizing on AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel. Then, the cold-rolling deformation and annealing treatment were introduced to refine the coarse matrix grains caused by pack-chromizing and improve the overall performance of 304 austenitic stainless steel. The major disadvantage of cement-retained implant-supported fixed partial dentures (FPDs) is difficulty in retrievability. The retentive strengths of the provisional luting agents usually employed in these cases are therefore an important consideration. SUMMARY: A case is reported of a patient with a history of trauma, root canal treatment and retreatment procedures to eliminate recurring sinus tracts. An exploratory surgery, extraction, and biopsy resulted in a diagnosis of cemental tear.

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the long-term efficacy of hydroxyapatite cement in craniofacial reconstruction, specifically examining the role (if any) of radiation, implant location, and cement type.

Calcium hydroxide cements can lack long-term stability and achieve sustained release by matrix-controlled diffusion of hydroxyl ions. The disintegration of three endodontic cements in water was determined quantitatively and qualitatively. The materials studied were Ketac-Endo (KE), Tubli Seal (TS), and AH26 (AH). Occupational exposure to dust has been linked with excess mortality from stomach cancer. To examine this hypothesis in respect of cement workers the mortality of a group of men, identified as cement workers in 1939, was followed up from 1948 to 1981. An excess of mortality from stomach cancer was found which is not thought to be explained by the social class distribution of the study population. Mortality from respiratory disease was not increased.
