A copper-mediated radiobromination of (hetero)aryl boronic pinacol esters is described. Cyclotron-produced [76/77Br]bromide was isolated using an anion exchange cartridge, wherein the pre-equilibration and elution solutions played a critical role in downstream deboro-bromination. Phospholipids have important roles in many biological processes, but their role in fetal malformation in pregnancy in diabetes is unclear. 68Ga is produced from enriched zinc-68 target electrodeposited on copper base material which was irradiated with 15 MeV proton energy in 30 MeV cyclotron. A modified semi-automated separation and purification module was used to obtain pharmaceutical grade [68Ga]GaCl3 in 35 ± 5 min. The quality of [68Ga]GaCl3 produced was in accordance with Pharmeuropa 30.4. The [68Ga]GaCl3 was utilized for the formulation of multiple doses of [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 and [68Ga]Ga-DOTATATE. The quality of [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 and [68Ga]Ga-DOTATATE were also in accordance with Pharmacopeia.

Binding of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) to a zinc porphyrin complex and the stabilization of the related zinc hydrosulfido adduct are explored. The thermal gas-phase reactions of [Al2 VO5 ]+ and [AlV2 O6 ]+ with methane have been explored by using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometry complemented by high-level quantum chemical calculations. Both cluster ions chemisorbed methane as the major reaction channels at room temperature. [Al2 VO5 ]+ could break only one C-H bond to liberate CH3 , whereas [AlV2 O6 ]+ exhibited higher oxidizing ability such that it brings about the selective generation of formaldehyde. Mechanistic aspects are revealed and the crucial roles of the metal centers are discussed.

Several disease-modifying Alzheimer's disease treatments are available or in clinical trials. Participation in these trials and access to approved treatments often require amyloid positron emission tomography (PET) scans.
