Agminate and plaque-type blue nevi are rarely described. We report the occurrence of such a type of blue nevus associated with eccrine changes and a follicular cyst all arising on a macular brown background in a 38-year-old man. The patient presented numerous blue papules and a plaque, overlapping a light tan patch present since birth, on his left thigh. We report 4 cases of an infundibular cyst that histopathologically showed small papillary projections of follicular germinative cells emanating from the basal layer of the cyst wall. Some of these projections branched and formed a reticulated pattern. This cystic lesion is histopathologically distinctive. We propose to designate it as a trichoblastic infundibular cyst because its lining resembles that of an infundibular cyst, yet it has cells that resemble those of the follicular germ in its wall.

We describe a 7-year-old girl with precocious puberty in whom a single large cyst (5 cm) and several small cysts (8-10 mm) in the single remaining ovary were detected by the ultrasound examination. BACKGROUND: Ovarian follicular cyst producing estradiol is a rare cause of isosexual pseudoprecocious puberty. Intense pigmentation of breast papillae, areolae, and labia minora is also rarely reported in the literature.
CASE: We describe a 2(1/2) year old girl presenting with signs of precocious puberty and advanced bone age due to a large follicular cyst. Estradiol and Dehydro-epiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) levels were remarkably elevated. Hyperpigmentation was also noted. Salpingoophorectomy resulted in regression of precocity and depigmentation, but DHEAS serum levels remained elevated.

During a three-year period, 217 ovarian cystic lesions were evaluated by both fine needle aspiration (FNA) cytology and estradiol (E2) assay at Royal Women's Hospital. One hundred three ovarian lesions were subsequently subjected to histologic examination, and 79 cyst fluids were assayed for progesterone.
