BACKGROUND: In recent years, there has been an ongoing improvement in the treatment and structural aspects of acute trauma care. Because of the definition of rehabilitation as a post-acute part of the treatment of traumatic injuries, especially in multiple injured patients, there is need to improve the interaction and cooperation between acute care hospitals and rehabilitation clinics. Many factors need to be considered when selecting empiric antimicrobial treatment for infections; foremost are the principal pathogens causing the diagnosed infection and their antimicrobial susceptibility patterns. Gangrenous cholecystitis is an advanced form of acute cholecystitis associated with increased morbidity and mortality. We sought to determine the incidence of gangrenous cholecystitis in an urban VA hospital patient population and identify any distinguishing characteristics that may aid in its preoperative diagnosis. We retrospectively reviewed all urgent admissions that underwent cholecystectomy (n = 65) over the past 7 years at the Allen Park VAMC. BACKGROUND: Hospitals with higher septic shock case volume demonstrated lower hospital mortality. We conducted this study to investigate whether this phenomenon was only caused by the increase in the number of admissions or the need to improve the medical care capacity in septic shock at the same time.
METHODS: Seven-hundred and eighty-seven hospitals from China collected in a survey from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. Medical care capacity for septic shock was explored by patients with septic shock in intensive care units (ICU) divided into beds, intensivists, and nurses respectively.

Annual rates of bipolar and schizoaffective disorder (SA) subtypes from 1981 to 1993 at a private university psychiatric hospital were reviewed. Annual total diagnostic rates for all bipolar disorders (BPD) remained constant between 1981 and 1993, (22%), while the frequency of SA rose 6-fold, from 1.4% to 8.7%. Asthma admissions of children aged 5 years or younger to the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Honolulu were analyzed for the years 1986-1989. Admissions increased at an annual rate of 4.5% during the study period, in agreement with a worldwide trend. Most children wheezed before their first admission, but their diagnosis was bronchitis rather than asthma. This shows that physicians find it difficult to diagnose asthma in young children.
