A case of inflammatory fibroid polyp of the jejunum is presented. This is the seventh case of this type of polyp in the jejunum and, to the best of our knowledge, the first one producing jejunojejunal intussusception. Symptoms of the inflammatory fibroid polyp in this part of the intestine are usually those of intermittent obstruction or intussusception, as in our patient. The treatment is surgical excision of the polyp.

Thirteen cases of jejunal perforation from blunt trauma are presented. There are no reliable signs or symptoms, and a normal physical examination may be seen. Free intraperitoneal air on plain radiograms is characteristically absent. Simple debridement and closure is adequate. The clinical and pathologic features of 43 primary adenacarcinomas of the small intestine (32 jejunal and 11 ileal) are reported. Seventy-four percent of the patients presented with partial or complete small bowel obstruction, 56% complained of abdominal pain, 37% had symptoms of anemia (weakness, easy fatigability), and 35% had lost weight. Reconstruction of the upper gastrointestinal tract presents a surgical challenge after esophagogastrectomy, especially when it includes hypopharyngolaryngectomy. Reconstruction is generally undertaken with interposed colon as a substitute conduit, but it carries several risks. Alternative reconstruction of the foregut with pedicled retrosternal jejunum anastomosed at the level of the base of the tongue is described.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are rare. Although most commonly found in the stomach, GISTs in the jejunum are among the rarest subtypes. Inflammatory fibroid polyps (IFP) are rare type of benign tumours found in the gastrointestinal tract. IFP´s are in most cases small in size and without symptoms but can cause intussuception and haemorrhage. We present a case of a 25 year old female who presented with abdominal pain and symptoms and signs of anemia, hemoglobin was 36 g/L upon arrival. Further workup revealed a large tumor in the small intestine. The patient underwent a partial resection of the proximal jejunum. Pathology of the specimen showed inflammatory fibroid polyp.

INTRODUCTION: Ewing sarcoma most commonly arises in bones but rarely presents in extraskeletal locations. We report one such case arising from the jejunum.
CASE PRESENTATION: A 67-year-old woman presented with acute-onset, right lower quadrant pain. Computed tomography results showed a large mass within the midjejunum with pneumoperitoneum. Surgical excision was performed, and an extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma of the jejunum was suspected histologically. The diagnosis was confirmed with fluorescence in situ hybridization studies.
