This article concerns the morality of establishing regulated kidney markets in an effort to reduce the chronic shortage of kidneys for transplant. The article tries to rebut the view, recently defended by James Taylor, that if we hold autonomy to be intrinsically valuable, then we should be in favor of such markets. AIM: This study aimed to determine the effects of damage to various brain regions on moral judgment using a novel third-party punishment task with fully manipulated conditions.
METHODS: We assessed 35 individuals with brain damage (26 with frontal lobe and nine with non-frontal lobe damage) and 30 healthy controls (HCs) using a moral judgment task consisting of 40 vignettes across five conditions, with varying degrees of intentionality and consequences. Participants rated the protagonist's "badness" and their aroused feelings. Cognitive impairments and empathetic traits were also assessed.

This paper seeks to determine the extent to which individuals with borderline personality disorders can be held morally responsible for a particular subset of their actions: disproportionate anger, aggressions and displays of temper. The rationale for focusing on these aspects lies in their widespread acknowledgment in the literature and their plausible primary association with blame directed at BPD patients. BPD individuals are indeed typically perceived as "difficult patients" (Sulzer 2015:82; Bodner et al. 2011), significantly more so than schizophrenic or depressive patients (Markam 2003).
