UNLABELLED: The use of implant arthroplasty in the hand and wrist is increasing, often with little evidence of outcomes in the literature. BACKGROUND: The surgical management of primary hyperparathyroidism is changing both in terms of the extent of cervical exploration and in technique. There are many new mini-invasive procedures for neck surgery. A hearing aid patented by C. R. Schafer and supposedly based on detection of an amplitude-modulated carrier wave in the auditory cortex was re-examined. It is shown here that the hearing aid actually works by bone conduction of sound. It is concluded that detection of the modulation signal occurs by electrical nonlinearities and electrostriction in the bones of the face and skull.

Anatomy, injury-mechanism and classification will be illustrated with a casuistry of the rate isolated luxation of the ulnar head. Diagnosis is established clinically and with comparative X-rays. In our case the luxation was irresponsible in general anaesthesia and had to be succeeded by open reposition with temporary pin-fixation. Small tumors of the breast, both benign and malignant, may remain clinically silent for some time before they become large enough to be palpable. In many cases the tumor is revealed on a mammogram that is performed only as part of a routine check-up. Pancreatography using fibroscopy is current practice in medicine and contributes to the diagnosis of diseases of the pancreas. The radiographic images obtained generally represent oblique projections which have little in common with classic anatomical diagrams.
