Abrin B chain and trypsin inhibitor isolated from Acacia confusa (ACTI) were covalently linked to form a chimeric protein (ANB-ACTI) with N-succinimidyl-3-(-2-pyridyldithio)propionate. The chimeric protein had 31% of trypsin inhibitory activity of ACTI and 7% of hemagglutinating activity of abrin B chain, but no inhibition on protein biosynthesis. This paper describes the effects of an ethanolic extract of Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides on transplanted tumors and immunologic function in mice. OBJECTIVE: To determine the active fraction with anticancer effect in vivo from Nervilia fordii.
METHODS: The effective petroleum ether extract and ethyl acetate extract parts preliminary were selected in vitro, then anticancer experiments in vivo were done by S180-mice and H22-mice models.
RESULTS: Petroleum ether extract and ethyl acetate extract parts both had obvious anticancer effects to S180-mice and H22-mice, and could prolong H22-mice life. Meanwhile, they could improve the immunoloregulation of mice.

The effect of chalone-containing ethanol extract of rat skin (CCE) on the growth in mice of transplanted uterine cervix and skin carcinomas, hepatoma-22a, sarcoma-180 and leukemia L-1210 was studied. OBJECTIVE: To study the anti-tumor effect of ADEE and ADBE in mice.
METHODS: The models of S180 entity tumor mice and H22 bearing tumor mice were established to observe the effect of ADEE and ADBE on inhibiting S180 entity tumor growth and prolonging life time of H22-mice, and the effect on spleen and thymus index to S180 entity tumor.
RESULTS: Both ADEE and ADBE had ohvious anti-tumor effects to S180-mice (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) and could prolong H22-mice life (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). In certain degree, ADEE and ADBE could improve the immune function of bearing tumor mice.

The inhibitory effects of about 30 compounds, mainly pyrimidine and pyridine derivatives, on 5-fluorouracil degradation catalyzed by dihydrouracil dehydrogenase (DHU dehydrogenase) were investigated. Dedifferentiated liposarcoma (DDL) of the spermatic cord is rare, with limited data regarding morphology and prognosis. We analyzed the morphologic spectrum of DDL of the spermatic cord and its clinical significance in 42 patients from 1990 to 2014. The median age of the patients was 70.5 years (range: 43 to 90 y).
