Hypotony with reduced a reduced visual acuity is often seen after trabeculectomy with mitomycin. In this study we describe measures such as reattaching the scleral flap with at least seven nylon sutures and the controlled and delayed use of argon laser suture lysis. Ocular wall dimensions (axial eye length, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, vitreous length, thickness and volume of the ocular wall) were determined by echobiometry on 10 eyes of 10 patients with glaucoma one day before and four days after trabeculectomy.
