Wastewater-based surveillance (WBS) is widely used to monitor respiratory viruses, yet uncertainties remain regarding how viral RNA concentrations in wastewater reflect infection dynamics. Specifically, diurnal variation in shedding and RNA losses during in-sewer transport can impact measured signals. Interindividual differences in brain anatomy in AD patients pose a challenge to efficiently target the lDLPFC using scalp-based coordinates, calling for new and more precise tDCS protocols.

We present a novel method for the precise tracking of plasmonic gold nanorods (AuNRs) in live cells, enabling a comprehensive understanding of the nanocargo's cellular dynamics. Traditional single particle tracking (SPT) struggles with accurately determining all five spatial parameters (x, y, z, ϕ, and θ) in live cells due to various challenges. Our innovation combines electronic tunable lens (ETL) technology with bifocal parallax dark-field (DF) microscopy, allowing continuous adjustment of the imaging focal plane for automatic tracking of both translational and rotational movements of AuNRs.

Vision is a multicomponential system where different aspects of visual processing rely on distinct neural circuits. This fundamental characteristic has profound implications for how we assess visual field defects. Classical gold standard perimetry focuses primarily on contrast detection. However, the size of the scotoma could be different when measured with kinetic perimetry since motion detection relies on different neural networks. Therefore, we developed and validated a high-precision eye-tracking kinetic perimetry as a complementary tool for evaluating visual field deficits in hemianopia.
