BACKGROUND: Although transcatheter technology has achieved some success in the field of mitral valves, the feasibility of applying it to patients with degenerated mitral valve bioprostheses (valve-in-valve, ViV), failure of mitral valvuloplasty (valve-in-ring, ViR) and serious mitral annulus calcification (vale-in-MAC, ViMAC) has not been effectively evaluated.
METHODS: By searching published literature before December 5, 2020 in four databases, we found all the literature related to the evaluation of feasibility assessment of TMViV, TMViR and TMViMAC. Outcomes focused on all-cause mortality

Since the introduction of the sutureless Perceval® (Sorin Group, Saluggia, Italy) in Europe after CE mark in 2012, the "sutureless approach" is becoming more and more popular. Sutureless implantation in general is easy, fast and safe, but bears several potential pitfalls. This might result in inferior functional results affecting also clinical outcomes. In our center, more than 300 implant procedures have been performed up to date by mainly two senior surgeons. The technique is in the process of spreading to all surgeons performing aortic valve procedures. Proctored activities are completed at

Mitral annular calcification poses notable challenges for mitral valve replacement, especially in patients with small annular orifices. We present a case of a 69-year-old woman with severe mitral annular calcification and mitral stenosis, successfully treated using a valve-in-chimney technique. This approach minimized calcium debridement and enabled secure bioprosthesis placement larger than that which could have been placed with other options.

This is a case report of a 78-year-old male who underwent a sub-coronary aortic valve and root replacement due to valve dehiscence and aortic root pseudoaneurysm. The patient had complex anomalous coronary anatomy and had undergone a previous tissue aortic valve replacement in 2013. The patient made an uneventful recovery and was discharged from the hospital five days later. The authors suggest that the sub-coronary root replacement technique should be considered in elderly patients and patients with complex coronary anatomy.
