Thyroid hemiagenesis is a very rare anomaly. We herein report a case with right thyroid lobe agenesis, which was incidentally found during the assessment of primary hyperparathyroidism. Our objective was to describe the main aspects of MR imaging in Caroli's disease. Magnetic resonance cholangiography with a dynamic contrast-enhanced study was performed in nine patients with Caroli's disease. Bile duct abnormalities, lithiasis, dot signs, hepatic enhancement, renal abnormalities, and evidence of portal hypertension were evaluated. Three MR imaging patterns of Caroli's disease were found. Choledochal cysts are prone to complications: cholangitis, biliary cirrhosis, portal hypertension, lithiasis, rupture, pancreatitis, and carcinoma. The coincidence of choledochal cysts and neoplasia ranges from 2.5 to 26 per cent. One hundred six cases of choledochal cysts with neoplasms have been collected from the literature. Using the NBT-PBA test, we studied pancreatic exocrine function in two groups of patients: one group with acute pancreatitis of lithiasic origin that underwent cholecystectomy and other with pancreatitis of alcoholic origin. The test was performed at the time of the acute picture and later at one month, three months, six months and a year. We report on the results of shock wave extracorporeal lithotripsy in a series of 13 patients with urinary lithiasis and neurologic disease (5 tetraplegics, 6 paraplegics and 2 hemiplegics). The course of urogenital tuberculosis is complicated by unspecific bacterial infections of the urinary tract and nephrolithiasis. The lysosomal enzymes beta-glucuronidase and acid phosphatase were studied in 112 patients with cholecystitis.
