A Holistic Method for Superquadric Fitting Using Unsupervised Clustering Analysis.

This work presents a novel method for fitting superquadrics to point clouds under the contamination of noise and outliers, which has many applications for shape modeling across diverse fields. Unlike prior approaches that either exclusively focus on fitting rigid or deformable superquadrics, or suffer from robustness and numerical instability issues, our method redefines the problem from a new unsupervised clustering perspective, enabling the holistic fitting of both rigid and deformable superquadrics within a unified framework. Central to our approach is a stable optimization function inspire

RPCANet$^{++}$: Deep Interpretable Robust PCA for Sparse Object Segmentation.

Robust principal component analysis (RPCA) decomposes an observation matrix into low-rank background and sparse object components. This capability has enabled its application in tasks ranging from image restoration to segmentation. However, traditional RPCA models suffer from computational burdens caused by matrix operations, reliance on finely tuned hyperparameters, and rigid priors that limit adaptability in dynamic scenarios. To overcome these limitations, we propose RPCANet++, a sparse object segmentation framework that fuses the interpretability of RPCA with efficient deep architectures.

Robustness of SAM: Segment Anything Under Corruptions and Beyond.

Segment anything model (SAM) is notable for its ability to cut out any object and its impressive zero-shot transfer performance with prompt guidance. However, its robustness under corruption remains underexplored. Prior work indicates that SAM is biased towards texture rather than shape. We first evaluate its robustness against style transfer (synthetic corruption), followed by 15 common corruptions, and find that SAM demonstrates robustness in these scenarios. Moreover, we assess SAM's resilience to local patch occlusion and adversarial patch attacks, finding it resilient to occlusion but vul

LaVIDE: Language-Prompted Satellite Change Detection via Map-Image Alignment.

Remote sensing change detection based on a map reference and an up-to-date image boosts timely observation of the Earth's surface when earlier images are lacking for comparison. However, the semantic gap between high-level map categories and low-level image details hinders the extraction of homogeneous features for robust temporal association in change detection. Unlike conventional approaches that either compare pixel-level visual similarity or propagate segmentation errors, we propose a novel framework, Language-VIsion Discriminator for dEtecting changes, LaVIDE, which bridges the semantic g

Efficient Inference for Large Reasoning Models: A Survey.

Large Reasoning Models (LRMs) significantly improve the reasoning ability of Large Language Models (LLMs) by learning to reason, exhibiting promising performance in solving complex tasks. However, their deliberative reasoning process leads to inefficiencies in token usage, memory consumption, and inference time. Thus, this survey provides a review of efficient inference methods designed specifically for LRMs, focusing on mitigating token inefficiency while preserving the reasoning quality. The overview structure of this paper is shown in Figure 1. First, we introduce a taxonomy to group the re

Breathing New Life Into Small Object Detection With Detection-Oriented Rectification.

Small Object Detection (SOD) is fundamentally constrained by the inherent scarcity of visual cues in size-limited instances. This low-entropy nature frequently induces ambiguity and collapse in the learned feature space, critically undermining the efficacy of downstream tasks. Restoration-based methods offer a promising, albeit flawed, solution to this representational bottleneck. On one hand, they excel at recovering fine-grained details; on the other, their effectiveness is compromised by a reliance on synthetic corruptions that generalize poorly at inference, a problem compounded by the inh

Learning Shape Anchors for Holistic Indoor Scene Understanding.

This paper presents a shapeanchor guided learning strategy (AncLearn) for robust holistic indoor scene understanding. We observe that the search space constructed by current methods for proposal feature grouping and instance point sampling often introduces massive noise to instance parsing and object reconstruction.Accordingly, we develop AncLearn to learn the shape anchors of 3D objects, to provide shape constraints in a top-down manner. The learned anchors fit instance surfaces and thus provide fine localization clues for (i) separating noise and object-related features to offer reliable ins

Relation DETR+: Exploring Explicit Position Relation Prior for Dense Prediction.

This paper presents a general scheme for enhancing the convergence and performance of DETR (DEtection TRansformer). We investigate the slow convergence problem in transformers from a new perspective, suggesting that it arises from the self-attention that introduces no structural bias on the inputs. To address this issue, we explore incorporating position relation prior as attention bias to augment object detection, following the verification of its statistical significance using a proposed quantitative macroscopic correlation (MC) metric. Our approach introduces an encoder to construct position

TraGraph-GS: Trajectory Graph-based Gaussian Splatting for Arbitrary Large-Scale Scene Rendering.

High-quality novel view synthesis for large-scale scenes presents a challenging dilemma in 3D computer vision. Existing methods typically partition large scenes into multiple regions, reconstruct a 3D representation using Gaussian splatting for each region, and eventually merge them for novel view rendering. They can accurately render specific scenes, yet they do not generalize effectively for two reasons: (1) rigid spatial partition techniques struggle with arbitrary camera trajectories, and (2) the merging of regions results in Gaussian overlap to distort texture details. To address these ch

Prototype-Anchored Generalized Manifold Regression for Unknown-Domain Object Detection.

In this paper, we focus on Single-Domain Generalized Object Detection (Single-DGOD), aiming to transfer a detector trained on one source domain to multiple unknown domains. Existing methods typically rely on simulation-driven paradigms, such as discrete augmentation or static textual prompts, to expand the boundaries of the training distribution. However, finite simulations often fail to capture the infinite dynamic variations of real-world scenarios, which can lead to overfitting on synthetic styles and limit the model's ability to handle complex structural degradations. Inspired by the manif

RegTrack: Simplicity Beneath Complexity in Robust Multi-Modal 3D Multi-Object Tracking.

Existing 3D multi-object tracking (MOT) methods often trade efficiency and generalizability for robustness, as they typically rely on complex association metrics derived from multi-modal architectures or class-specific motion priors. Challenging the common belief that greater complexity necessarily leads to stronger robustness, we propose a robust, efficient, and generalizable method for multi-modal 3D MOT, dubbed RegTrack. Inspired by Yang-Mills gauge theory, RegTrack formulates multi-modal 3D MOT as motion-compensated representation learning. Under this analogy, point-cloud object representa

Hyperbolic Hierarchical 3D Scene Representations for Open-Vocabulary 3D Scene Graph Generation.

Open-vocabulary 3D scene graph generation aims to predict 3D objects and their predicates beyond the annotated label space. Compared to closed-set 3D scene graph generation methods, the open-vocabulary approach is more general, practical, and less dependent on labor-intensive ground truth annotations. Existing open-vocabulary 3D scene graph generation methods rely on learning individual object and predicate features in the representation space while ignoring higher-level 3D scene representations, leading to overfitting and suboptimal performance. In this work, we propose a hyperbolic learning-

Towards Zero-Shot Point Cloud Registration Across Diverse Scales, Scenes, and Sensor Setups.

Some deep learning-based point cloud registration methods struggle with zero-shot generalization, often requiring target-domain retraining, fine-tuning, or dataset-specific metric parameter tuning for new environments. We identify three critical limitations: (a) fixed user-defined parameters (e.g., voxel size, search radius) that fail to generalize across varying scales, (b) learned keypoint detectors exhibit poor cross-domain transferability, and (c) absolute coordinates amplify scale mismatches between datasets. To address these three issues, we present BUFFER-X, a registration framework who

Generalizable and Slim Affordance Reasoning for Task-oriented Manipulation.

Object affordance reasoning, the ability to infer object functionalities based on physical properties, is fundamental for task-oriented planning and activities in both humans and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This capability, required for planning and executing daily activities in a task-oriented manner, relies on commonsense knowledge of object physics and functionalities, extending beyond simple object recognition. Current computational models for affordance reasoning from perception lack generalizability, limiting their applicability in novel scenarios. Meanwhile, comprehensive Large Langua

PolaFormer++: Polarity-Aware Linear Attention with Channel-wise Spikiness.

Linear attention has recently emerged as an efficient alternative to Softmax-based self-attention by reducing quadratic computational complexity to linear. However, existing linear attention mechanisms still suffer from substantial performance degradation, primarily due to two limitations: the loss of negative elements in query and key vectors caused by non-negative feature maps, and the failure to preserve the spikiness property as in Softmax attention, which weakens token discriminability. To address these issues, we propose PolaFormer++, an enhanced polarity-aware linear attention mechanism

Digging into Monocular Texture-Scale Feature Fusion for Optical Flow and Optical Expansion Estimation.

Visual perception in dynamic scenes is a crucial task in the fields of computer vision and autonomous driving. In this paper, we focus on monocular optical flow and expansion estimation. Optical flow describes the positional changes of pixels between two frames, while optical expansion describes local image-scale changes around pixels and their neighbourhoods. Monocular optical flow estimation has a well-established research foundation, with most existing methods achieving high-precision optical flow through image texture feature extraction and matching. However, research on optical expansion

A Riemannian Framework for the Elastic Analysis of the Spatiotemporal Variability in the Shape and Structure of Tree-like 4D Objects.

This paper introduces a novel computational framework for modeling and analyzing the spatiotemporal shape variability of tree-like 4D objects, i.e., three-dimensional structures whose shapes deform and evolve over time. Tree-like 3D objects, such as botanical trees and plants, deform and grow at different rates. In this process, they bend and stretch their branches and change their branching structure, making their spatiotemporal registration challenging. We address this problem within a Riemannian framework that represents tree-like 3D objects as points in a tree-shape space endowed with a pr

OA-Pro: Learning Object-Aware Detection Head with Prompt Tuning for Domain Adaptive Object Detection.

Domain adaptive object detection (DAOD) aims to generalize detectors trained on a labelled source domain to an unannotated target domain. Existing methods reduce the domain bias within the detection backbone and overlook the domain bias present in the detection head, e.g., domain-level discrepancy in different domains, and object-level inter-domain differences between objects. Inspired by highly generalized Visual-Language Models (VLMs), applying a VLM as robust detection backbone followed by a detection head that can be adjusted adaptively for different domains and objects, i.e., an object-aw

Diff-MM: Exploring Pre-Trained Text-to-Image Generation Models for Unified Multi-Modal Object Tracking.

Multi-modal object tracking integrates auxiliary modalities such as depth, thermal infrared, event flow, and language to provide additional information beyond RGB images, showing great potential in improving tracking stabilization in complex scenarios. Existing methods typically start from an RGB-based tracker and learn to understand auxiliary modalities only from training data. Constrained by the limited multi-modal training data, the performance of these methods is unsatisfactory. To alleviate this limitation, this work proposes a unified multi-modal tracker Diff-MM by exploiting the multi-m

PointPDF V2: A Unified Framework for Continual Open-World 3D Semantic Segmentation.

3D semantic segmentation has achieved remarkable advances with powerful architectures and large-scale datasets. However, most existing approaches perform under closed-set assumptions, limiting their applicability in dynamic real-world environments where novel categories frequently emerge. This motivates the task of open-world semantic segmentation (OWSS), in which a model must not only identify unknown objects at inference time but also incorporate them with previously learned classes once annotated. To address this challenge, we propose PointPDF V2, a unified framework that integrates open-se
