INTRODUCTION: Since the early stages of alveolar bone grafting development, multiple types of materials have been used. Iliac cancellous bone graft (ICBG) remains the gold standard.
DESIGN/METHODS: A review of literature is conducted in order to describe the different bone filling possibilities, autologous or not, and to assess their effectiveness compared to ICBG. This review focused on studies reporting volumetric assessment of the alveolar cleft graft result (by computed tomography scan or cone beam computed tomography).

A conventional haemodialysis system, to which the patient is connected as for acute dialysis, forms the basis of the plasma substitution method. The clinicomorphological manifestations of iatrogenic thesaurismosis that developed because of infusion therapy of patients with plasma substitutes were studied using autopsy and operative material from 44 deceased and 2 operated children aged 1 month to 3 years. An experimental disease was obtained in 16 rabbits. Cytomegalia was discovered in 23 deceased children with iatrogenic thesaurismosis and sepsis in 18 children. In 12 cases, sepsis was of iatrogenic nature. An assumption is worded about the three-member family of those diseases undergoing substantial pathomorphism.

Based on previous data, this research deals with the study of cellular ultrastructure of renal tissue (cortical and medullary) in conditions of preservation through a continuous hypothermic pulsatile perfusion, using a solution that substitutes plasma as the perfusate. This experiment was done on isolated dog kidneys perfused with a specialized perfusion machine. The results clearly show that with this method of renal preservation, no major lesions or irreversible modifications of the nephrons occur within 12 hours, offering the organ posttransplanting compatibility.
